- A UNESCO official has expressed optimism over Wadi Rum’s chances of becoming the Kingdom’s fourth World Heritage Site. According to UNESCO Representative in Jordan Anna Paolini, the unique cultural and natural characteristics of Wadi Rum will help it join the 890 sites globally recognised as having outstanding universal value. “Wadi Rum is home to a unique bedouin culture, which is very much alive today and makes it a very attractive site,” Paolini told The Jordan Times...
